JAKARTA. PT Sri Rejeki Isman Tbk (SRIL) predicts that orders from the US will increase by 20-30% in 2020.
President Director of SRIL, Iwan Setiawan Lukminto, revealed that one of the biggest fashion companies in the US wants to move its production from China. According to him, the company's production cost in China is too heavy, so it must be diversified to other countries.
"The company is our buyer. They have said they want to leave China," Iwan said on Wednesday (30/10).
According to Iwan, SRIL has made an agreement with US companies to increase export. Corporate Secretary of SRIL, Welly Salam added that since this year, exports to the US have grown quite significantly due to the trade war.
"If this trend continues in 2020, then SRIL will still feel the positive impact from the two countries, especially the US," Welly said. (AM/AR)
