60% of the families of Lion Air JT610 victims have not received compensation

JAKARTA. As many as 60.31% of the total families of victims of the Lion Air JT-610 crash have not yet received compensation, even though the accident occurred about 1 year ago.

Daniel Putut Kuncoro Adi, Managing Director of Lion Air Group, said that currently there are 75 victims' families that have received compensation from insurance companies. This amount is equivalent to 39.69% of the total families. "We do have a release and discharge, this is still being processed," Kuncoro said, as quoted by Kontan on Friday (1/11) today.

Kuncoro promised that his party would ensure that all families of victims of the Lion Air JT-610 accident received compensation. According to the Minister of Transportation Regulation No. 77 of 2011. In this regulation, every family of victims who died in the crash, will receive compensation of Rp1.25 billion.

Kuncoro added that his party had increased the compensation value by Rp 50 million to Rp1.3 billion. Besides Lion Air, Boeing Co. also provided compensation of US $ 114.5 thousand for each victim's family. (KR/AR)
