JAKARTA. PT AirAsia Indonesia Tbk (CMPP) recorded Rp 4.83 trillion in revenue in the third quarter of 2019, up 66.55% from Rp 2.90 trillion in the same period last year.
Indonesia AirAsia's primary revenue came from scheduled commercial flights including passengers, baggage, cargo, and flight services. Revenue from passengers soared 73.48% to Rp 3.99 trillion, whereas revenue from baggage surged 58.97% to Rp 531.33 billion.
Revenues from cargo and flight services surged by 17.32% and 23.25% respectively. Ground handling and catering revenues also increased in the first nine months (9M) of the year.
The positive performance of all business lines finally scored a profit for Indonesia AirAsia, amounting to Rp 422.05 million. In the same period last year the airline posted a Rp 639.16 billion loss. (AM/MS)
