JAKARTA - PT Garuda Metalindo Tbk (BOLT) posted sales of Rp 911.57 billion in the third quarter of 2019, up by 4.08% compared to the same period last year, amounting to Rp 875.84 billion. This sales achievement was contributed the most by motorcycle sales.
As quoted from the public expose sheet, BOLT contributed Rp 729.06 billion of total net sales in the third quarter of this year. While the same period last year, the holding company scored sales of Rp 709.96 billion. With a composition of motorcycle sales of 57%, followed by motorcycle parts 23.48%, car sales of 10.22%, and others approximately 9.29% in the third quarter of 2019.
Meanwhile, the largest market segment came from domestic approximately 77.32% followed by export sales of 22.68%. The achievement of export sales in the third quarter of 2019 was down from the achievement of export sales in the same period last year, which amounted to 26.35%. The decline in exports was a result of weakening markets in a number of export destination regions such as North America, Europe, Japan and South Korea, and China.
In the third quarter of 2019, BOLT scored a gross profit of Rp 156.50 billion, down compared to the same period last year, a gross profit of Rp 174.48 billion. Meanwhile, net profit was recorded at Rp.49.37 billion, down from Rp.66.68 billion. (LK)
