JAKARTA - The Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Bekasi (LRT Jabodebek) Light Rail Transit Project is targeted to be completed for all routes simultaneously in 2021.
"The target is it will be completed in June-July 2021. LRT operations will be carried out directly together in 2021. All routes simultaneously, not gradually," explained Transportation Minister Budi Karya Sumadi.
He expected this project could be completed soon because there were already other cities that would soon begin the construction of LRT mass transportation namely Surabaya, Bandung, Makassar and Medan.
As of November 1, 2019 the progress of LRT Jabodebek Phase I infrastructure construction has reached 67.3%. Details of progress in each service cross are Cawang-Cibubur (86.2%), Cawang-Kuningan-Dukuh Atas (58.3%), and Cawang-Bekasi Timur (60.5). (LM)
