JAKARTA. PT Isuzu Astra Motor Indonesia (IAMI) will start exporting Isuzu Traga by the end of 2019 after the company recorded sales growth of 180.6% year on year (yoy) from January to September (9M).
IAMI Marketing Director Rahmat Samulo said that Isuzu Traga is the only commercial vehicle that recorded sales growth in 9M-2019, with a total of 4,288 units sold.
"This year we've been pushing this product in line with the existing demand. Customers and entrepreneurs that use medium pickup cars are highly interested," Mr Samulo told IDNFinancials.com, Monday (18/11).
However, Mr Samulo did not specify the export volume that will be obtained by IAMI in December, nor did he mention the company's export destinations for Isuzu Traga. "Our export destinations are ready, and they are in Southeast Asia," he said.
IAMI is a joint venture owned by PT Astra International Tbk (ASII) through its subsidiary PT Arya Kharisma and Isuzu Motors Ltd. Each company owns a 50% stake in IAMI. (KR/MS)
