JAKARTA. PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk (WSKT) developed its manufacturing business line by building a steel plant worth Rp 230 billion. The factory is expected to strengthen the company's business and give maximum impact to stakeholders.

The plant is located in the Cikande Modern Industrial Estate, Serang, Banten.

Senior Vice President/Corporate Secretary of Waskita Karya, Shastia Hadiarti, said that the steel plant is ready to operate and will be inaugurated in early December 2019.

At present, the company will fulfill the demand from one of Waskita's projects, a 500 Kilo Volt Ampere (KVA) transmission project in Sumatra with total tower production reaching 4,000 tons per month. The plant will also produce guard rails as a variable safety toll road project. (AM/AR)
