Lion Air and Unicharm may postpone their IPO plans

22 November 2019 06:01

JAKARTA. A number of companies such as PT Lion Mentari Airlines (Lion Air Group), Unicharm Corporation, and PT Softex Indonesia, may postpone their plans to hold an Initial Public Offering (IPO).

Inarno Djajadi, Managing Director of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), did not confirm the news. For information, the three companies have not yet held a Public Expose to present their performance to potential investors.

Djajadi explained that any decision regarding an IPO could only be ascertained by the companies themselves. "If the external conditions are not stable enough, it will definitely be postponed," said Djajadi as quoted by Kontan on Thursday (21/11) yesterday.

In addition, Djajadi said that prospective listed companies will discuss the right time for an IPO with the underwriters. (KR/AR)
