Astra Infra will operate Kunciran-Serpong toll road

JAKARTA. Astra Infra, a subsidiary of PT Astra International Tbk (ASII) engaged in infrastructure construction, will operate the Kunciran-Serpong toll road , which is 11.2 kilometers (KM) long, after obtaining certification from the Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT).

Djap Tet Fa, CEO of Astra Infra, said that the company expects the toll road to support transportation during the Christmas and New Year holidays this year. He explained that the construction of the Kunciran-Serpong toll road had been completed by the end of September 2019. "The target is to be inaugurated by Mr. President Jokowi at the end of this month," Tet Fa said when met on Monday (25/11) today at his office.

Tet Fa acknowledged that the construction of the Kunciran-Serpong toll road took quite a long time. He said that his party had won the tender for the construction of this toll road since 2017. "But because of land issues, it has only been completed this year in September," he said.

With the operation of the Kunciran-Serpong toll road, Astra Infra's toll road business portfolio has reached as many as 6 toll roads. In addition to the Kunciran-Serpong toll road, the company also has 5 other toll roads sections on Java. The five segments include Tangerang-Merak (72.4 KM), Cikopo-Palimanan (116.8 KM), Semarang-Solo (72.6 KM), Jombang Mojokerto (40.5 KM), and Surabaya-Mojokerto (36.3 KM). (KR/AR)
