JAKARTA - Until the end of September 2019, PT BRI Syariah Tbk (BRIS) has channeled financing of Rp 25.6 trillion. This figure increased by 20.11% on an annual basis.
"Improvement on the business and monitoring team succeeded in increasing financing growth. Financing in the non-commercial segment (consumer, retail and micro) became the main key to successful financing growth of 12.05% QoQ, so that the composition of the non-commercial segment in the third quarter of 2019 reached 61.72%," said BRISyariah Retail Business Director Fidri Arnaldy.
Going forward, BRI Syariah will focus on financing in the consumer retail segment. In addition, the Bank will continue to strengthen the MSME segment to encourage productive businesses in the country.
One of the company's strategies to expand the retail segment market is to focus on the halal ecosystem and the Muslim community. Related to the consumer segment, BRI Syariah's flagship products are mortgage loan, multipurpose and umrah and halal tour financing. (LM)
