JAKARTA - PT Mahkota Group Tbk (MGRO) took over the assets of the PT Mahkota Andalan Sawit (MAS) Palm Oil Plant worth Rp 120 billion. The difference in the value of this transaction is approximately 5.25% below the market price based on KJPP assessors Syarif, Endang and Partners of Rp 126.64 billion on August 13, 2019.

Quoted from the disclosure of company information, the acquisition of assets is done through PT Berlian Inti Mekar (BIM), a subsidiary of MGRO. With the takeover of the MCC, it is expected to provide added value for MGRO. Especially in the last 10 years, the global palm oil industry has experienced developments in terms of production and consumption.

For the domestic market, this PKS takeover meets consumer demand for palm oil industrial products in line with the implementation of the Biodiesel 30 (B30) program in January 2020. Starting October 1, 2019, the government has been preparing to welcome the implementation of the B30 program. (LK)
