CIMB Niaga purchased back its Sukuk I 2018 worth Rp 441 billion

JAKARTA - PT Bank CIMB Niaga Tbk (BNGA) purchased back its Serie A phase I 2018 Sukuk Mudharabah Shelf Registration worth Rp 441 billion and bond interest of Rp 10.22 billion. Payments to Sukuk holders were made yesterday.

Quoted from the disclosure of company information, Fransiska Oei, Director of PT Bank CIMB Niaga Tbk (BNGA) said the source of the 2018 Sukuk repayment funds came from the company's internal cash. "The impact of repayment is the reduction in the company's obligation to finance the securities issued by the company from internal cash," he said.

Referring to the 2019 Third Quarter Financial Report, BNGA recorded the number of securities sold with the promise of repurchase of Rp 4.63 trillion, down from Rp 11.94 trillion in the same period last year. A number of securities issued reached Rp 6.54 trillion, up from Rp 5.26 trillion. (LK)
