JAKARTA. PT Bank Permata Tbk (BNLI) is collaborating with Kredivo, a Peer to Peer (P2P) lending fintech platform, to distribute Rp1 trillion of loans, through channeling cooperation.

Djumariah Tenteram, Director of Retail Banking at BNLI, said that his party hopes that this partnership can provide access to people who are not reached by banks yet. "Kredivo has a good digital platform and they also partner with lots of e-commerce, it can also help us provide services and reach out to the public," Tenteram said in a press release on Wednesday (27/11) today.

Tenteram acknowledged that obtaining loans from P2P lending pllatform has a relatively greater risk than conventional banks. Nevertheless, he was not worried about the partnership. "This partnership is a new model, so we need to be careful and conduct in-depth assessments of Kredivo," said Tenteram.

Meanwhile, Umang Rustagi, Commissioner of Kredivo, claims that his business has the best risk management to support the partnership with BNLI. "Through this opportunity, we hope that cooperation with other banks will also be established," Umang said as quoted by Kontan on Wednesday (27/11) today. (KR/AR)
