JAKARTA. PT Lippo Karawaci Tbk. (LPKR) and SoftBank worked together to build a smart city in the Lippo Village residential area.
Chief Executive Officer of Lippo Karawaci, John Riady, said that the two parties will work together in developing the smart city. According to him, Lippo Village will be a milestone for both parties to realize the idea.
"We are very pleased to move forward and work closely with SoftBank to develop innovative solutions based on artificial intelligence, big data and the Internet of Things," he said on Thursday (28/11).
Head of Global Business Strategy at Softbank, Hidebumi Kitahara, said that the agreement for the partnership had been made since last year. However, the execution can only begin at the end of this year.
"We are very pleased to be able to launch IoT and artificial intelligence to make Lippo Village residents more comfortable," he said.
In this collaboration, Lippo Village will implement IoT technology, through smart cluster management and smart traffic management. Meanwhile, Softbank will introduce the technology in commercial areas, hospitals and throughout the region. (AM/AR)
