JAKARTA. Bank Tabungan Negara (BTN) received an additional Housing Financing Liquidity Facility (FLPP) quota of Rp 2 trillion from the government, a month before the end of 2019.
Director of Consumer and Commercial Lending at BTN, Hirwandi Gafar, said the additional FLPP quota that the government had agreed was Rp 2 trillion. The facility will be distributed by BTN next December.
The government only gave the additional quota to BTN. According to BTN's calculations, the additional facility can help finance the purchase of 15,000 - 20,000 houses.
"For 2020, the government allocates Rp. 9 trillion in the state budget, then there was a return of Rp 2 trillion, so there was a total of Rp. 11 trillion for FLPP, so the amount was more or less [for] 102,500 [houses]," he said.
Based on data from the Central Housing Finance Fund Management (PPDPP), up to mid-November 2019, the realization of FLPP distribution had reached Rp 6.77 trillion for 70,082 houses. (AM/AR)
