JAKARTA. PT Mahkota Group Tbk (MGRO) will focus on its downstreaming efforts in 2020, following the acquisition of the palm oil mill of PT Mahkota Andalan Sawit.
Corporate Secretary of the Mahkota Group, Elvira, explained that the palm oil mill will later support the refinery plant being developed by MGRO in Riau.
The acquisition of the palm oil mill was carried out through its subsidiary, PT Belian Inti Mekar.
This refinery plant will produce CPO derivatives products such as Olein or cooking oil, stearin (ingredient of margarine) or oleochemical.
Elvira explained that Mahkota Group has managed to increase its production by 3.77 YoY to 158,072 tons. (AM/AR)
