Experian opens its new office in Indonesia

JAKARTA. Experian plc, a provider of digital and information technology solutions listed on the London Stock Exchange (LSE: EXPN), has opened its new office in Jakarta to develop its business in Indonesia.

Ben Elliot, Chief Executive Officer, said that the company's business in Asia Pacific had grown quite rapidly. "Expanding our footprints in Indonesia is part of our broader vision to offer innovative solutions for businesses, and at the same time accelerate the application of financial inclusion in the Asia Pacific," Elliot explained through an official statement to idnfinancials.com.

In March 2019, Experian noted that its total global revenue had reached US$ 4.9 billion. Around 59% of its revenue comes from the North American region, 15% from Latin America, 17% from the United Kingdom and Ireland, and 9% from the Asia Pacific region. Experian's revenue comes mostly from its digital solutions business lines for financial services companies.

Experian notes that its organic global business growth has reached 9%. Meanwhile in Asia Pacific, Experian's business growth has reached 14%.

So far, Experian has collaborated with a number of companies and startups in Southeast Asia such as eCompareMo from the Philippines, CekAja from Indonesia, Moneyguru from Thailand, SingSaver from Singapore, and RinggitPlus from Malaysia. The company has also collaborated with Grab, one of the unicorn startups in Southeast Asia. (KR/AR)
