JAKARTA - Consumer insights startup Populix has bagged US$ 1 million in a seed funding round led by Intudo Ventures. Other investors participating in the round were Gobi Agung and Pegasus Tech Ventures.

In an official statement, Populix said it will use the fresh funds to develop new products, strengthen marketing efforts, and recruit new staff.

“The market research industry has long withstood change despite the massive shifts in consumer habits brought about by modernisation and digitalisation,” said Populix co-founder and CEO Timothy Astandu as quoted by DealStreet Asia, Tuesday (3/12).

“By starting Populix, we aspire to improve market research, using technology to streamline research processes while simultaneously making it more rigorous.”

Founded in January 2018, Populix offers insights that assist clients in better understanding Indonesian consumers and making business decisions. Its products include intensive research studies and simple surveys, which clients can arrange on a project or subscription basis. (MS)
