WIKA to issue global bonds for refinancing

JAKARTA. PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk (WIKA) plans to issue global bonds in rupiah worth Rp 5 trillion-6 trillion at the end of the year. The bonds will be issued to refinance the company's global bonds which will mature in January 2021.

According to WIKA CFO Ade Wahyu, the company will issue global bonds at the end of the year. "Either rupiah global bonds or regular global bonds can be suitable depending on the hedging situation," Mr Wahyu told the press on Tuesday (3/12).

In January 2018, WIKA issued medium term notes called Komodo Bonds which will mature in January 2021. The bonds are worth Rp 5.4 trillion and listed at the London Stock Exchange.

Aside from Komodo Bonds, WIKA also has five other MTNs worth Rp 1.8 trillion which will mature starting next year until 2024. The MTNs were issued by the company's subsidiary WIKA Realty. (AM/MS)
