JAKARTA. PT Campina Ice Cream Industry Tbk (CAMP) plans to increase its production capacity, which now reaches 30 million liters per day, by 30%.
Sagita Melati, Corporate Secretary of CAMP, explained that the expansion will help improve the company's financial performance. In the third quarter (Q3) this year, the sales of the ice cream company rose by 7.1% on a year-on-year basis (YoY) to Rp 768.46 billion. Melati is optimistic that the company can maintain business growth until the end of this year.
"We are confident of achieving our growth target of between 7% and 8%," Melati said as quoted by Kontan on Tuesday (3/12) yesterday.
The expansion will begin in early 2020. Although they are reluctant to explain how much the funds spent on the expansion, the company is optimistic that the addition of the new equipment will improve efficiency. (KR/AR)
