Darma Henwa pockets new project from Antam

JAKARTA - PT Darma Henwa Tbk (DEWA) has won the tender for infrastructure, mining and gold processing project in Arinem, Garut, West Java, owned by PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM). The scope of work consists of making road access, boxcut mining, and industrial testing of gold mineral processing.

Antam's project is worth Rp 14.7 billion. Meanwhile, the total mining contract volume is 95,000 bcm consisting of 67,000 bcm waste and 28,000 bcm ore with 60% recovery to become gold.

"Work on the Arinem gold mine project will begin in early December 2019 and is targeted for completion within 5 months. With the achievement of this work, it is expected to become a headstart for the Company to be able to work on the next production phase in the Arinem gold mining project," explained Non-Coal Chief Operating Officer Darma Henwa Wisnu Wahyudin Pettalolo.

For information, DEWA is currently in the process of obtaining potential projects from the non-coal business. The company hopes the non-coal business will contribute more to revenue. (LM)
