JAKARTA. PT Mandiri Tunas Finance (MTF), a subsidiary of PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI), expects the total value of financing disbursed by the company next year to reach Rp 30.5 trillion, due to the support from a number of sectors.
Harjanto Tjitohardojo, Director of MTF, believed that the current Financial Services Authority (OJK) regulations support finance companies. This is also supported by investments in the automotive sector which is considered still quite smooth.
Tjitohardojo explained that the composition of financing in 2020 will still be dominated by financing for passenger cars. "55% of passenger cars, 30% commercial cars, multipurpose as much as 8%, and other financing as much as 7%," Tjitohardojo was quoted as saying by Kontan on Monday (9/12) yesterday.
In addition, Tjitohardojo assessed the ratio of car ownership in Indonesia is still lower than other countries such as Singapore, Thailand, and Malaysia, despite the fact that the Indonesian government is intensively building toll road infrastructure for several years. (KR/AR)
