Ministry of PUPR to build Lombok International Airport - Mandalika bypass

MANDALIKA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) continues to provide infrastructure support for the Government's priority National Tourism Strategic Areas (KSPN) namely the Mandalika KSPN in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB). One of the supports given is the construction of the Lombok International Airport (BIL) bypass access to the Mandalika KSPN

"The construction of the BIL - Mandalika bypass road will be able to support the surge in visitors in NTB, especially the Mandalika KSPN while maintaining existing road conditions that are often used by local residents' activities," said Director of Road Development Directorate General (DG) Bina Marga Ministry of Public Works Achmad Herry Marzuki while accompanying Specific Work Visit (kunfik) Commission V of the Indonesian Parliament (4/12).

The construction of the BIL - Mandalika bypass access road will be carried out in early 2020 with a length of 17 km consisting of 4 lanes and 50 meters wide with 2 fast lanes and 2 slow lanes. This bypass has a typical overpass / underpass design and is targeted to be ready by the end of 2020 which will support the MotoGP event in Mandalika in 2021. The BIL - Mandalika bypass access road has an investment value of Rp 1.8 trillion including land acquisition costs sourced from State Budget (LM)
