JAKARTA. PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk, the parent company of PT Waskita Toll Road, will soon complete the divestment of its shares in two toll road companies to Road King Infrastructure Ltd worth Rp 2.37 trillion.

The two toll road companies are PT Jasamarga Solo Ngawi (JSN) and PT Jasamarga Ngawi Kertosono Kediri (JNKK). PT Waskita Toll Road has a 40% stake in the two companies. The sale and purchase transaction is expected to be completed next week.

President Director of PT Waskita Karya Tbk. (WSKT), I Gusti Ngurah Putra said that WTR would obtain Rp1.85 trillion from the sale of JSN shares and Rp 520 billion from the sale of JNKK shares (Rp 2.37 trillion in total).

JSN is the concession holder of the Solo-Ngawi toll road (90.43 kilometers), while JNKK manages the Ngawi-Kertosono toll road (87 kilometers).

"What we are selling is not the assets, but the concession rights of the toll roads. After the concession period ends, the assets will be returned to the government," he said on the sidelines of the sharing and lunch meetings with a number of media in Jakarta on Wednesday (11/12). (AM/AR)
