JAKARTA - To support Christmas and New Year 2019 holiday, Angkasa Pura II stated that Runway 3 of Soekarno-Hatta Airport will be ready for operation on December 20, 2019.
Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi welcomed this because it would make aircraft movements faster and more dynamic. In addition to Runway 3, there will also be an official launching of VIP Buildings in Terminal 3 and Terminal 3 Buildings.
Ahead of the Christmas and New Year holidays, the Minister of Transportation, Budi Karya Sumadi, did a ramp check or aircraft inspection at Soekarno-Hatta Airport on Wednesday (11/12). Inspections are carried out as part of the government to ensure that safety aspects of transportation are met.
"We do random check checks on 200 planes out of a total of 500 planes. So I ask the operator to do a self ramp check," explained the Minister of Transportation Budi.
It is predicted, the peak of the Christmas holiday flow at Soetta Airport will be on the 20th and the peak of the new year holiday will be on December 29, 2019 while the peak of the return flow will be on January 5, 2019. (LM)
