JAKARTA - Yesterday (12/12), PT. Media Nusantara Citra Tbk (MNCN) and PT. Surya Citra Media Tbk (SCMA) have agreed to cooperate on content production and explore other initiative synergies.
The two companies agree to co-invest and co-own selected original OTT-dedicated contents and theatrical movies which will be produced by either company’s content production subsidiaries.
Sutanto Hartono, President Director of SCMA said, “We look forward to start some strategic initiatives with MNCN. Combining the content production capabilities and the strength of media will enable us to foster the growth of local content and creative ecosystem to the next level, preparing ourselves to embrace the global borderless era.”
MNCN and SCMA shall also discuss further to identify areas of collaborations which can provide stronger local content and media ecosystem, which will be beneficial for the growth of local Indonesian content in particular and creative and media industry in general. (LM)
