JAKARTA. PT Astra Mitra Ventura, a venture capital firm owned by PT Astra International Tbk (ASII), will continue to focus on providing funding for startups in the manufacturing sector in 2020.
Jefri Sirait, President Director of Astra Mitra Ventura, said the focus will help support ASII's performance. "Next year, we will continue to concentrate on the business sector that is also the focus of Astra, especially manufacturing, infrastructure as well as agro-tech," Sirait said as quoted by Kontan on Sunday (15/12) yesterday.
Astra Mitra Ventura will choose companies that have innovation, attractive power, and a broad impact on the community. However, Astra Mitra is reluctant to mention how many companies will receive funding provided by them.
Since its operation in 1991, Astra Mitra Ventura has provided funding for 456 startups. (KR/AR)
