JAKARTA. PT Fast Food Indonesia Tbk (FAST), the owner of the KFC franchise in Indonesia, will open 1 KFC Box outlet in Jakarta's MRT station.
Justinus Dalimin Juwono, Director of FAST, said the move was quite strategic because now, the MRT station has become one of the centers of the crowd. "We also tried a booth at the MRT station in Fatmawati, so we want to go in there with a smaller format, KFC Box," Juwono was quoted as saying by Kontan on Sunday (15/12) yesterday.
To open a KFC Box outlet, FAST claimed that the costs incurred were smaller than opening a regular one. For the opening of regular outlets, the company has to spend as much as Rp 3.5 billion. However, for smaller KFC Box outlets, the cost is only Rp 1.5 billion.
In terms of sales, FAST noted that the difference in transaction frequency between KFC Box outlets and regular outlets is not too big. (KR/AR)
