JAKARTA - The budget ceiling of the Business Competition Supervisory Commission (KPPU) for 2020 was set at Rp 130.46 billion, lower than its figure in 2019 of Rp 136.63 billion.
As quoted from KPPU's press release, Guntur Saragih, a member of KPPU said that KPPU had a difficult job in 2020, due to lower budget ceiling and higher economic growth.
KPPU has prepared its budget for 14 activities in 2020, among others, monitoring and reviewing business competition, analyzing government policies, advocating for business competition and partnerships, investigating alleged violations of unfair business competition, supervising partnerships, evaluating mergers and acquisitions, and handling cases of business competition violations.
