JAKARTA - Gojek has announced that it will be shutting down five of the seven services offered through its separate lifestyle app GoLife. The decision was made due to the lacklustre performance of the services, which have contributed only 10% of total GoLife orders.
“We believe that reviewing and optimising the performance of our products and services is essential to meet the evolving needs of consumers and for future growth,” said GoLife Head Wesly Simatupang as quoted by DealStreet Asia, Wednesday (18/12).
According to Mr Simatupang, daily needs order and delivery service GoDaily and laundry service GoLaundry will be discontinued on December 31, 2019, while home appliances repair service GoFix, beautician booking service GoGlam, and Service Marketplace will be discontinued on January 15, 2020.
Only cleaning service GoClean and home massage service GoMassage will be retained, with the two services contributing up to 90% of total orders on the platform. (MS)
