JAKARTA - Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati has affirmed that the Ministry of Finance will continuously monitor and evaluate the financial performance of state-owned enterprises intensively.
“We need to be consistent in treating SOEs by referring to their financial performance,” said Ms Indrawati at a press conference in the Ministry of Finance as quoted by Bisnis.com, Thursday (19/12).
In addition, the Ministry of Finance will also support the effort of the Ministry of SOEs under Erick Thohir’s leadership to improve the conditions of SOEs. The Ministry of SOEs will monitor companies in terms of corporate governance, while the Ministry of Finance will evaluate their financial performance.
“I fully support Mr Erick’s effort to revamp SOEs. This is a very crucial issue for Indonesia,” said Ms Indrawati.
