JAKARTA - PT Citra Palu Minerals (CPM), a subsidiary of PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS), has commenced a wet run test in the Poboya gold mine, Palu, Central Sulawesi on Monday (23/12).

A wet run test is run on all equipment at a production plant simultaneously using water, chemicals, and gold ore before the plant commences production.

“The dry run test was completed on December 21. We have just started the wet run test to fine tune the equipment so they can function well,” said BRMS CEO Suseno Kramadirata in an official statement received by IDNFinancials.com on Monday.

“Once the processing plant and the operating system can run properly, we can expect to proceed with the trial production in January 2020.”

BRMS owns a 96.97% stake in CPM, which currently operates a gold mine concession of 85,180 hectares in South and Central Sulawesi. The Poboya gold mine is estimated to have 3.9 million tonnes in ore reserves and 7.9 tonnes in ore resources with over 4 g/t gold grade. (MS)
