JAKARTA - PT Humpuss Intermoda Transportasi Tbk (HITS) has sold a vessel to PT Pancaran Maritim Transportindo for Rp 13.31 billion. The sale was a follow-up to the company's policy of selling low-performing vessels to optimise its efficiency.
In the company's stock exchange filing, HITS CEO Budi Haryono said that the sales aim to improve the company's efficiency. "The vessel sold is MT Sapta Samudra, which belonged to HITS's subsidiary Humpuss Transportasi Kimia," he said.
The two companies are not affiliated. So far this year HITS has sold three vessels, including MT Catur Samudera to PT Maxima Maritima Indonesia last month. (LK/MS)
