JAKARTA. PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (Persero) Tbk (PGAS) has distributed a loan facility of US$ 593.92 million to AP Grup Pangkah, through PT Saka Energi Indonesia.

Gigih Prakoso Soewarto, President Director of PGAS, said the loan was to support the internal administration of Saka Energi and AP Grup Pangkah. He also admitted that the loan facility would not affect PGAS' financial performance.

"There is no impact on PGN, because the transaction is done between Saka Energi and AP," Soewarto said to Kontan on Sunday (5/1) yesterday.

The loan will be used by a number of subsidiaries of AP Grup Pangkah. A total of US$ 161.41 million will be used by Saka Indonesia Pangkah BV, US$ 390.04 million by Saka Indonesia Pangkah, and US$ 42.47 million by Saka Pangkah LLC.

Soewarto also ensured that Saka Energi would still continue the planned acquisition of a new oil and gas block, with a capital of US$ 70 million to US$ 100 million. "The plan is still ongoing at Saka Energi," said Soewarto. (KR/AR)
