JAKARTA - PT United Tractors Tbk (UNTR) is targeting sales of 2,900 to 3,000 units of heavy equipment in 2020. The target is based on the prospect of the coal industry, projected to remain relatively the same as last year.
According to United Tractors Investor Relations Ari Setiyawan, the trend of coal prices this year will remain relatively the same or slightly drop compared to 2019. “For 2020, the company’s management expects to sell the same amount of heavy equipment as we did in 2019, around 2,900 to 3,000 units,” he told Bisnis Indonesia recently.
In addition, Mr Setiyawan added, the company’s customers from the mining sector has been purchasing heavy equipment in a significant amount since 2017. Thus, the demand for heavy equipment in 2020 is predicted to remain the same as 2019. (MS)
