Bumi Resources plans to increase its coal production in 2020

JAKARTA. PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) plans to increase coal production in 2020, after successfully increased its coal production to 88 metric tons in 2019.

Dileep Srivastava, Director of BUMI, said that in 2018, the company's coal output was only 80 metric tons. He explained that the company would still be supported by coal production activities at the mines of PT Arutmin Indonesia and PT Pendopo Energi Batubara.

In addition, BUMI has obtained a number of coal supply contracts. "BUMI has obtained contracts to supply coal, with a total value of 50% of the sales target in 2020," Srivastava said.

For information, BUMI had generated US$ 76.07 million in revenue by the third quarter (Q3) 2019, 8.85% lower than the record in Q3 2018, US$ 824.85 million. (KR/AR)
