JAKARTA - The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) recorded that the Non-Oil and Gas General Wholesale Price Index in December 2019 rose 0.19% from the previous month’s position.
According to an official statement released by the Ministry of Finance on Monday (6/1), the highest Wholesale Price Index increases occurred in the industry sector with 0.41%. Commodities with price increases in the month included palm, shallots, tomatoes, crude palm oil (CPO), palm-based cooking oil, rice, and clove cigarettes.
Meanwhile, Building Material Wholesale Price Index in the same period surged 0.01% from the previous month’s position. The increase was caused by, among others, price increases of ready-to-install building materials from wood, concrete bricks, roof tiles, split stones, ornamental stones, and building stones. (MS)
