Indonesia Eximbank signs MoUs with Ministry of Foreign Affairs to support economic diplomacy

JAKARTA - Indonesia Eximbank has signed two memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to support the increase of Indonesian export on Thursday (9/1).

First, a Joint Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the University of Indonesia (UI) and Indonesia Eximbank on Collaboration for Capacity Development to Support Economic Diplomacy. The MoU encompasses, among others, studies and policy recommendations concerning potential trade partnership to support economic diplomacy.

Second, a Joint Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Indonesia Eximbank on Capacity Development for Export and Import Players and Stakeholders through Technical Education and Training for Emerging Countries within the South-South Cooperation Framework. Capacity development here includes potential mapping studies, sending experts, hosting training in Indonesia and implementation areas, and providing buyer’s credit.

“Our mutual agreement with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the University of Indonesia is part of our effort to support the Indonesian government in economic diplomacy,” said Indonesia Eximbank Executive Director Daniel James Rompies in an official statement, Wednesday (8/1).

“Good economic diplomacy will serve as a supporting factor for exporters in penetrating overseas markets.” (MS)
