The government aims to obtain Rp 7 trillion from its sukuk auction in 2020

JAKARTA. The Indonesian government will issue its first Government Sharia Securities (SBSN) or sukuk in 2020 soon, with an indicative target of Rp 7 trillion.

According to its official announcement, Finance Minister plans to offer sukuk SPN-S 15072020 with a tenor of 6 months. In addition, the government also offers three Project-Based Sukuk (PBS). The basic assets used by the government in the issuance of the sukuk are projects and activities in the 2024 State Budget (APBN).

PBS002 is issued with a tenor of 2 years and interest of 5.45%, PBS026 is issued with a tenor of 4 years and interest of 6.62%, and PBS005 with a tenor of 23 years with a interest of 6.75%.

The sukuk auction will begin on Tuesday, 14 January. Meanwhile, the settlement process will be done on 16 January. (KR/AR)
