JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) is ready to disburse a procurement budget and renewal of new facilities worth Rp 792.46 billion from the results of the 2019 Sustainable Bonds Offering II. Previously, the funds were deposited in demand deposits at PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI) with interest rate of 7% per year.
Quoted from the disclosure of company information, Didiek Hartantyo, Finance Director of PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, delivered a net result of the 2019 Bond II offering of Rp 1.99 trillion on December 6, 2019. Funds from the bonds were used to pay a portion of the loan principal at PT Bank HSBC Indonesia in the amount of Rp 1.2 trillion and procurement and renewal of facilities.
In 2017, KAI also issued Bonds I worth Rp 2 trillion. Funds from the issuance have been used for the construction of the Soetta Airport project amounting to Rp 1.09 trillion and Train Procurement amounting to Rp 897.28 billion. (LK)
