Ngloram Airport in Blora is targeted to operate in 2021

JAKARTA - Transportation Minister Budi Karya Sumadi said he would carry out construction at Ngloram Airport, Blora, Central Java. This was revealed in his working visit to Semarang, Central Java, Saturday (11/1).

The Ministry of Transportation provides a budget to extend the runway and construction of the Ngloram Airport terminal. The development target itself is expected to be completed and operating commercially in 2021.

Currently Ngloram Airport has a runway of 1,200 m x 30 m and does not yet have a passenger terminal. In the future, there will be 4 stages of developing Ngloram Airport.

The first phase of the runway will be expanded to 1,400 m x 30 m, apron 84 m x 60 m, and the construction of a 240 m² passenger terminal with a capacity of <50,000 passengers / year. This phase is targeted for completion by the end of 2020, so that it can be immediately operated into a commercial airport. (LM)
