Analysts advise investors to sell their shares included in Benny Tjokro's portfolio
JAKARTA. Avere Investama advises investors to sell their shares in a number of companies that are included in Benny Tjokrosaputro's portfolio to reduce losses.
This recommendation follows the arrest of Tjokro, President Director of PT Hanson International Tbk (MYRX). He was allegedly involved in corruption at PT Asuransi Jiwasraya (Persero).
Teguh Hidayat, Director of Avere Investama, said Tjokro's preferred shares had unfavourable fundamentals. Things become worse with Tjokro's legal status in the Jiwasraya corruption case. Although some of these shares are in the property sector, which is predicted to improve in 2020.
"It does not mean that if the sector is good, then the performance of the two companies is automatically good," Hidayat said as reported by Kontan on Thursday (16/1) today.
For information, a number of shares chosen by Tjokro include PT SInergi Megah Internusa Tbk (NUSA) and PT Rimo International Lestari Tbk (RIMO). (KR/AR)
