JAKARTA. The Financial Services Authority (OJK) recorded that the total amount of funds raised through public offerings in the capital market in 2019 reached Rp 166.8 trillion from 60 new issuers.
"In the capital market industry, increasing the application of governance, transparency and enforcement is the main focus of the OJK to improve market integrity and investor confidence," said Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of OJK, Wimboh Santoso on Thursday (16/1).
According to Wimboh, improvements to the capital market ecosystem have begun through strengthening regulation and supervision, the process of issuing emissions, trading activities to the fairness of instrument valuations.
"During 2019, OJK has restricted the sale of certain mutual funds to 37 investment managers as well as imposing sanctions on 3 public accountants," concluded Wimboh. (AM/AR)
