JAKARTA. PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) is entering the final stage of its engineering and commercial study on the Solar Power Plant (PLTS) project that is being worked on.
Hadi Surya Palapa, Corporate Secretary at PTBA, cannot announce the value of the investment spent in the PLTS project yet, or the target for completion.
But the company believes the project is carried out in accordance with the character of the tropical climate in Indonesia. "More and more regions of Indonesia have open spaces with extensive sun exposure," Palapa explained as quoted by Kontan on Friday (17/1) today.
Previously, PTBA made coal sales its core business, and the PLTS development project will diversify its business slowly. (KR/AR)
