JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo will decide Softbank's investment scheme in the new capital in February 2020. This was conveyed by the Coordinating Minister for Maritime and Investment Affairs, Luhut Binsar Panjaitan, during Coffee Morning event at his office yesterday.
"The president will make a decision in February (2020)," said Luhut as quoted by CNNIndonesia.com.
Luhut explained that at this time his party was still preparing the investment scheme that would be agreed upon. Including return on investment. "Pak Tiko (Deputy Minister of SOEs Kartika Wirjoatmodjo) will meet again in Davos. Later I will meet Masayoshi (CEO of Softbank Masayoshi Son) again," he said.
According to him, projects in the new capital will be based on clusters. For example, education and hospital cluster. "Maybe a large university will enter, maybe a hospital with international standard," he said.
