In 2020, KPPU handles 19 cases registered over from 2019

JAKARTA - The Business Competition Supervisory Commission (KPPU) has left 19 cases handled out of 31 cases of delay in notification and acquisition of shares registered in 2019. The new case that will be rolled out this year is related to lubricating two-wheeled vehicles, conspiracy to tender a road development package in Bangka Islands Province Belitung.

As quoted from the disclosure of company information (20/1), KPPU member Guntur S. Saragih said that his party had appointed 31 cases in the trial process. "Of the 13 cases, there have been 12 cases whose decisions have been read, namely the delay in notification of the takeover of shares," he said.

The ongoing process among the 19 cases that have not yet been decided is the preliminary examination stage, further examination, the extension of further examination, and deliberations of the commission assembly. Cases that have been decided include, among others, delays in the notification of the acquisition of PT Buana Minera Harvest by PT Citra Prima Sejati (CPS), MBH Mining Resources by CPS, PT Citra Lautan Teduh by Wijaya Karya Beton Tbk.

While cases that are still under investigation include, among others, alleged violations by PT Solusi Transportation Indonesia and PT Indonesian Freight Technology, a partnership between PT Pos Indonesia (Persero) and postal agents in Indonesia, and the acquisition of PT Kharisma Cipta Dunia Sejati by PT FKS Multi Agro Tbk ( FISH).
