JAKARTA - PT Pembangunan Perumahan (Persero) Tbk (PTPP) has finished the construction of Runway 3 of Soekarno Hatta International Airport managed by PT Angkasa Pura (Persero) II. The Rp 1.33 trillion-project was completed two months earlier than the deadline (February 2020).
As quoted from the company's disclosure, Lukman Hidayat, Managing Director of PT Pembangunan Perumahan (Company) Tbk (PTPP) said that the construction of the Runway 3 helped encourage the growth and development of the aviation sector in Indonesia. "In addition, the completion of this project will help support economic growth and the national tourism sector," he said on Friday (24/1).
Previously, Soetta Airport had two runways, Runway 1 on the south side and Runway 2 on the north side. Runway 3 is located on the north side, and it is expected to break the density of aircraft movement at the airport. (LK/AR)
