Ministry of Finance channels Rp 97 billion in first phase of Village Fund disbursement

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Finance has commenced the first phase of Village Fund disbursement on Tuesday (28/1). As of Wednesday (29/1), the State Treasury Service Office (KPPN) has channeled Rp 97,735,184,900.

According to an official statement on the Ministry of Finance’s website, the early disbursement is carried out in accordance with the requirements of Village Fund disbursement, which has been channeled to villages in Madiun Regency, East Java; Gorontalo Regency, Gorontalo; West Manggarai Regency, East Nusa Tenggara; Balangan Regency, South Kalimantan; Pringsewu Regency, Lampung; East Kolaka Regency, Southeast Sulawesi; Natuna Regency, Riau Islands; and Bantaeng Regency, South Sulawesi.

For 2020, the government has allocated Rp 72 trillion for the Village Fund programme for 74,953 villages across Indonesia. Each village will receive around Rp 960.6 million, up from the 2019 allocation of Rp 933.9 million each.

In the first phase, KPPN channels 40% of the total Village Fund allocation, while another 40% will be channeled in the second phase and the remaining 20% in the third phase. The first phase includes the issuances of Regent/Mayoral Decree on setting the details of the fund, Village Regulation on the Village Budget, Book-entry Power of Attorney, and the Required Document Cover Letter.
