Mandiri Sekuritas will assist four companies to carry out IPO in 2020

03 February 2020 08:51

JAKARTA. PT Mandiri Sekuritas has obtained the mandates from four companies that will carry out the Initial Public Offering (IPO) in 2020 on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX).

Andy Bratamihardja, Managing Director of Mandiri Sekuritas, said that a number of these companies actually had IPO plans since last year. Since market conditions were considered less conducive, the plans were postponed.

"Since Mandiri Sekuritas was established, only last year we didn't have an IPO," Bratamihardja said as reported by Kontan on Sunday (2/2) yesterday. "Frankly, we had many mandates at the beginning of the year (2019), but because of the political year, many were postponed to this year," he added.

So far, Mandiri Sekuritas has not mentioned the names of the companies that will hold an IPO this year. Bratamihardja said that some of the companies are engaged in various sectors, ranging from financial services to plantations.

In addition to those companies, Mandiri Sekuritas will also continue to develop the bond underwriting business. In 2019, the company could guarantee bond issuances with a total value of Rp 31.6 trillion.

"Hopefully we can exceed (last year's achievements), the target is always going up," explained Bratamihardja. (KR/AR)
