JAKARTA - PT Garuda Maintenance Facility AeroAsia Tbk (GMFI) or GMF AeroAsia, a subsidiary of PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero), is exploring the possibility of holding a private placement by cooperating with strategic investors.
From the public expose sheet released on 28 January 2020, the company actually planned to hold the private placement in Q2 2019, but the plan was postponed due to the decline in the price of GMFI shares.
President Director of GMFI, Tazar Marta Kurniawan, explained that according to the data from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), the price of GMFI shares fell by 61.26% in the past year.
Therefore, he continued, now GMFI will review the strategy that needs to be done to raise the price of its shares and hold the private placement.
In addition to the private placement, Tazar also explained that the GMF's partnership with Lion Air will be realized soon. (ARM/AR)
